This was a super fun marketing campaign that had many people involved. But in a nutshell we planted some fake information on an upcoming character that would be launching in our game. Both marketing and development teams worked hard on misleading our hardcore players whom liked to dig into the game’s code to find any new information on unannounced characters, features, and more. In the end, the players played right into our hand and we had them fooled.
